OJJDP Spotlights NCJJ’s Data Collection and Analysis Efforts

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s (OJJDP) recent Research Roundup emphasizes the importance of high quality data collection and rigorous statistical analyses as critical to its mission to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization. 


Several of NCJJ’s efforts, supported by OJJDP, are highlighted as necessary to carry out OJJDP's work, including the Statistical Briefing Book online resource, which provides current data on juvenile crime, victimization, and youth in the system.  


The National Juvenile Court Data Archive, which collects, processes, and preserves juvenile court data, and its resulting publication Juvenile Court Statistics 2014 are also referenced.   


NCJJ, in partnership with OJJDP, is committed to providing accurate and informative juvenile justice data to the field.
